I think the most common one is wearing uniforms at school, especially for students in senior or junior high school. Of course i understand the authorities’ good intentions, they don’t want students to start the inappropriate craze of comparing with others thus removing their attention from their academic study,but as for me,i think this rule is too strict and arbitrary. Some students are required to wear the same suits in incredible oversize and out-fashioned color each day, which greatly impeded students’ personality development. What’s more, some rules are too ridiculous and insane.

For example, you have to zip up your coat all times when you are at school, you couldn’t open it even in very high temperature. During the winter times,some uniforms are not thick and well-designed to keep students’ warm, but due to the harsh rules set by schools, they have to wear it even with the risk of catching cold. I must admit that i am the student that always set myself against those stern regulations,sometimes i even use social media to expose these stupid rules and complain about them publicly. I’ve put myself in trouble several times because of nonstandard wearing of uniforms, too many decorations or scratchy and odd patterns i drew on my uniforms. I even remembered to be threatened to drop out by my headteacher, but i never change my styles throughout the three years in my adolescence.

Recalling that time, i realized that my behaviors were too extreme, but maybe those rules should be changed, at least to be modified to suit students’ real needs.

Well, like i have mentioned before, the most common one is the dress code. Apart from uniforms, girls are not allowed to put their hair down, or to dye it. They have to tie it up if their hair is longer than their necks. For boys, they couldn’t have long hair orstrange hairstyle. What’s more,students must greet teachers when they meet them. Sometimes it is not even out of respect or courtesy, but rules and playacting.

Of course some rules are good to let students focus on improving their academic performances such as prohibiting the use of cellphonesin school or being punctual when attending classes. But some ill-considered regulationsshould be changed and amended to be more practical, like the one i’ve said, wearing uniforms or dress code about hair style.

There are multiple sorts of rules kids should abide by at home, each family may have their own rules, but they are largely the same. Also, some kids even have “curfews” at home. Some parents require their kids to arrive at home by no more than 10pm or 11pm to safeguard their security.

Because while they parking at a wrong place, maybe they will get in the way of others and cause delays.
