设计背景

本项目是关于节奏布鲁斯音乐，它包括“节奏”和“蓝调”、“福音音乐”和“灵魂音乐”。福音音乐意在为了表达黑人的灵魂情感，就像是和上帝对话，用舞蹈和歌曲将身体和情感的表达结合在一起。

Design Background

The story is about R&B music, which consists of "Rhythm" and "Blues", "Gospel" and "Spiritual". The gospel music is said to express the soul of black people, and like a conversation with God it brings together the physical and emotional expressions in dance and song.

设计概念

我的缪斯是一个叫做FKA Twigs的节奏布鲁斯说唱歌手和与他合作的艺术家Jesse Kanda，这位艺术家的作品启发了我的视觉发展。Jesse的作品展示了各种各样扭曲下意识的形象，让我想到从解剖的角度扭曲人体。这些作品的颜色也启发我改造牛仔面料。

Design Concept

My Muse is a modern R&B rapper called FKA Twigs, and an artist Jesse Kanda whom FKA Twigs had cooperated with, and her work led to my visual development. Jesse's artworks show all sorts of figures that distort and twist the subconsciousness, and this gave me the idea of the distortion of the human body into anatomical impossibilities. The color of the artist’s work inspired me to translate the pallet into denim.
