如何写清楚撤回投稿信函(附模板)

当投稿意向发生改变，如最近发生的投稿后却发现该杂志被SCI剔除掉了，就需要尽快提出撤回投稿。

 

首先需要明确，withdraw 是指论文在发表之前，撤回的是投稿的manuscript，即终止投稿及进一步的发表。

需要和Retract区别开，Retract是指撤回已经发表的文章article。

 

其次，由通讯作者给责任编辑写信。也就是给作者发出收到投稿等信函的编辑，同时抄送主编（如果有）。

 

第三，撤回投稿信函的核心内容是：

1，由通讯作者提出；

2，清楚地给出投稿文章的题目和稿号；

3，清楚提出撤稿要求；

4，给或者不给出撤稿理由。

I am writing you to inform you that we have to withdraw the above-mentioned manuscript for further consideration for publication in XXX, due to a technical reason (or whatever reasons or no reasons at all, such the major defects of data analysis, too long time under review in your journal (more than 6 months)).

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the withdrawal of this article.
