The Logo of Qingdao

This week,the students in Class 1 designed their logos of Qingdao. Let's have a look!

This is the logo of Qingdao designed by Wang Yajun.

The one which is at the center is a sailboat. Qingdao is an Olympic city and the Sailing City. Because of the unique geographical advantages, Qingdao, the Sailing City, became an Olympic city on the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic.

On the sailboat is a famous place in Qingdao, Zhanqiao pier. As one of the symbols of Qingdao, Zhanqiao pier attracts many tourists come to this beautiful city.

Under the sailboat is the wings of freedom. It represents that Qingdao is a place which can let you pursue and realize your dream.

Surrounding these pictures are another symbol of Qingdao, Tsingtao Beer. It is famous around the world.

Qingdao, a beautiful city, located in Shandong province, is popular among travelers. As it is closed to China's yellow sea, you can taste different kinds of seafood there, such as clams and oysters. What's more, there are many attractions by the sea. One of them is Zhanqiao. It attracts many visitors every year. People enjoy the grateful view there. May Fourth Square, Qingdao Aquarium are also worth visiting. Meanwhile,one visits Qingdao can not only enjoy the sea, but also climbed the mountains.In mountain Lao, you can experience nature and culture. Qingdao is also famous for beer. Drinking beer and eating seafood are popular in Qingdao.

Place of cultural interest:

As a coastal country of China, Qingdao is famous for as beautiful seascapes. And among all the seascapes, I think the most representative scene is the trestle bridge. It is one of the first national scenic spots announced by the State Council in 1982, and also one of the first national four-A scenic spots.

Natural scene:

Seagulls, the most common seabirds, make the trestle bridge livelier. And also shows the beautiful natural environment and clean ocean. Those items above are the most distinctive features of Qingdao.In my opinion, they have the qualification of being involved in the logo of Qingdao.

About Qingdao

Qingdao a beautiful city, which is in the east of Shandong province. As one of the most important cities in China, Qingdao contributes to spreading Chinese culture.With its special position and kind inhabitants, a large quantity of people from different countries traveled to Qingdao every year. Qingdao is a coastal city which is near the sea in the eastern China. “Red bricks, green trees and blue sky” is a symbol of Qingdao.Every year, thousands of people go there for the environment and clean air. The weather in Qingdao is comfortable and warm. Therefore, we can see beautiful views in four seasons.

 Qingdao is also famous for its delicious seafood such as squid, oysters and clams. In summer, there's nothing better than eating clams with Qingdao beer at night by the sea. When you enjoy the relaxing atmosphere at the same time. What a great thing!

In the summer, thousands of people go to see the large sea. Eight great passes is also a place that worth visiting. You can see the leaves turning red and yellow in autumn.

This logo of Laoshan is changed from ink freehand landscape. Green peaks like Chinese characters mountain. Spiral strokes like white clouds. Floating on the mountainside is not only a Qingdao’s landmark sculpture, the Wind in May, but also like Taoist Yin and Yang fish. The logo adopts the main color of green gradient, reflecting the evergreen of Laoshan.

The whole is a Chinese stamp which looks like Qingdao’s “Qing”. On the upper side, “May Wind” is on the left, and the pavilion of Zhanqiao is on the right. On the lower side, the left one is a part of Qingdao Metro system, and the right one is Qingdao beer.
