8% off 到底是打几折?

折扣
中文跟英文表达打折的方式不一样，英文经常反着表达

1、xx % off 在原有价里减免xx

中文一般讲打几折，折后的价钱就是用定价乘以折扣，例如 100 元的商品打七折就是：100 X 0.7 = 70 元。

但英文常用 off 來表達，off 有「去掉」的意思，20% off 就是從原本的價格拿掉 20%，還剩 80%，也就是 8 折。

7 折起，就是 Up to 30% Off
2 折起，就是 Up to 80% Off

92折，就是8% off（拿掉 80%）

-- 如100元的商品打92折= 100*0.92或100-(100*0.08)=92元

2、discount 打折、折扣

折扣是指从某物的正常售价中扣除的金额或百分比，通常与percent连用
10 percent discount  即打9折

　　20% discount    打8折

　　30% discount    打7折

　　30% discount off = 30% off

3、Coupon 优惠券

除了这种日常折扣，还有一种形式就是使用领取的商家优惠券，英文表达是coupon，是用以享受某种特价或优惠的“折价券”，"折扣券"。

I have yet to cash in my 20% coupon but I will. 我还没使用我那20%的优惠券，但是我会的。

the necklace will cost me over $10,000! 这项链要10000多美金

4、Sale: 打折，减价出售

如果是大打折、大折扣，可以用“big sale”。

形容什么东西在打折，要用到介词“on”：

A、On sale: 打折 （表示正在打折）

Bathing suits are on sale. 泳衣都在打折。

趁打折时买了某个东西：

I got something on sale. 我趁打折的时候买了一点东西

On sale 与 For sale的区别

On sale -->  The shop is on sale (selling items at a lower or discounted price) 打折出售

For sale -->  The car is for sale (being sold, with or without a discount) 有货出售但不一定打折

B、Goes on sale既可以表示即将打折，也可以表示商品即将发售：

The new iPhone will go on sale in November. 新的iPhone即将在十一月发售。

5、Mark down （为促销）降低…价格

Everything in the store is marked down today. 今天商店里的所有东西都降价。

也可以作为名词使用：

These are markdowns.这些是打折货品。

打折之后发现商品价格又再次下调：

Further marked down: 再次下调价格

If the price is further marked down, you can get a refund of the difference.如果价格再次下调，你可以获得差价返还。

6、buy one get one free 買一送一

买几送几，可以用 “buy x get x free”

Buy two get one free. 买二送一。
Buy five get two free. 买五送二。

第二件半价或是第三件六折

Buy one, get one 50% off. 第二件半价
Buy two, get another one 40% off. 第三件六折

7、满减

$100 OFF $500        

满$500立减$100（每满$500立减$100是$100 OFF Every $500）

Save $100 on Every $500

满$500立减$100

8、rebate 回扣

回扣的定义是在客户购买时给予的折扣，或在客户支付全价后发送给客户的款项。回扣的一个例子是一家电器商店在客户为微波炉支付 200 美元后返还 20 美元。

这种折扣通常需要你買了東西之後，需要填一些資料寄回公司，他們就會再提供一些寫有折扣金額的支票給你，這叫做 Mail-In-Rebate。

“明示并如实入账”即为折扣，“账外暗中”即为回扣

折扣是企业正常的商业促销行为，受法律的规范和保护;回扣是一种典型的商业贿赂行为，法律严格禁止

9、special offer 特价

special offer 平常有特別優待的意思，在買賣上也可以作為特價。

Disney World is having a special offer for kids under 14 years old.
迪士尼世界給14歲以下的孩童特別優惠。

The potato chips were on special offer, so I bought them.
我買了洋芋片，因為它們在特價。

类似表达特价的还有  Special Deal  特价、特卖

Deal of the day 今日特价、今日秒杀
Special offers 特价出售、特卖

10、Clearance sale清仓

Clearance sale: 清仓甩卖

end of season sale 或 end of season clearance sale 換季清仓

Liquidation sale: 停业清理大甩卖

last day today 折扣最后一天

final clearance 最后清仓
