国庆节马上到了,中国的公共假期有那些?怎样用英语表达呢?

中国每年有7个所有公民享有的公共假期 （public holidays），也是国家法定假日（legal holidays）：

元旦:   New Year's Day

春节:   Chinese New Year (the Spring Festival)

清明节:  the Qingming Festival (Tomb sweeping Day)

劳动节:  May Day (Labor Day)

端午节:  the Dragon Boat Festival

中秋节:  the Mid-Autumn Festival 

国庆节:  National Day

其中，春节和国庆是唯二的连续放7天的长假(week-long holiday)。

国庆定于每年10月1日，是庆祝中华人民共和国成立的日子。人们举办各种活动来庆祝节日，还有很多人出游，所以每个长假都会掀起旅游热潮，被称为“黄金周”（‘Golden Week’）。

Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1^st every year to commemorate the founding of People’s Republic of China. The holiday lasts for 7 days from Oct. 1^st to 7^th . People enjoy themselves in a great variety of ways and a large number of Chinese people go traveling around the country during the holiday, which contribute to a boost in tourism, so it is also called ‘Golden Week’.
