象山景区：

象山景区，象鼻山的象鼻和象腿之间有一个卷篷式的半圆大洞，每当月明之夜，与江中的倒影，正好合成一个大圆形，如一轮明月静浮水上，故称"水月洞"。水月洞长17米，高约12米，宽达10米。唐代文学家元结在象鼻岩用篆书刻有"水月洞"三个字。水月洞的形成是大自然造就的，大约二亿年前，象鼻山露出地表，山体前段裂隙较多，在地下河水长期的冲刷侵蚀下，逐渐形成这个大溶洞。桂林虽然处处有山，山山有洞，但像水月洞这样有水穿行,可乘舟而过的石洞却不多。

Whenever the night of the moon is bright, it will form a large circle with the reflection in the river, like a bright moon floating on the water, so it is called "Shuiyue Cave". Shuiyue Cave is 17 meters long, about 12 meters high, and 10 meters wide. The writer Yuan Jie of the Tang Dynasty engraved the three characters "Shuiyuedong" in seal script on Elephant Trunk Rock. The formation of the Shuiyue Cave was created by nature. About 200 million years ago, the Elephant Trunk Mountain was exposed to the surface and there were many fissures in the front part of the mountain. Under the long-term erosion and erosion of the underground river, this large cave was gradually formed. Although there are mountains and caves everywhere in Guilin, there are not many stone caves that can be passed by boats with water like Shuiyue Cave.
