教学背景分析

教学内容分析：

  本节课选自PEP小学英语五年级上册Unit 5 There is a big bed Part A Let’s spell教学内容。经过教材整合，我设计通过三步教学突破教学重难点。第一部分通过创设情境，呈现含有ai/ay且符合发音规则的单词，让学生感知单词中ai/ay的发音，初步归纳发音规则；第二部分通过学生自主学习、小组讨论等活动帮助学生进一步感知并强化ai/ay的发音规律，并能根据发音规则拼写出符合ai/ay发音规则的单词。第三部分通过绘本学习，帮助学生根据发音规则朗读新词，理解文本，同时检测学生对本节课内容的掌握情况。

学生情况分析：

   本节课的授课对象是小学五年级学生。学生经过两年多的英语学习，已经基本掌握了26个字母的书写和发音，了解了辅音字母及五个元音字母长、短音的发音规则，以及一些字母组合的发音规则。这些发音规则在学习字母组合ay/ai的发音规则时发挥着不可取代的重要作用，是学生顺利拼读与拼写的基础。因为学生有了一定的语音基础，在此基础上学习字母组合ay/ai在单词中的发音规则，降低了学习的难度，本节课要学习的是字母组合ay/ai的发音，所涉及的单词有很多都是学生已经学过的，如：say/ way/Monday/birthday/rainy/rainbow等，学生能够读出以上例词，但没有系统地归纳分类字母组合ay/ai的发音规则，因此，本节课通过听音、拆音、拼音和分类等活动引导学生进行发现式的学习，观察、感知、体验并归纳字母组合ay/ai在单词中发长音和短音的规则。

教学目标

语言能力目标：

1.能够掌握字母组合ai/ay 在单词中的常见发音/eɪ/。

2.能够在老师的引导下总结归纳出ai/ay的发音规则，并根据它们的发音规则拼写单词。

学习能力目标：

通过独立思考和小组讨论合作竞赛的方式，培养学生自主学习与合作学习相结合的能力。

思维品质目标：

通过整体感知、小组讨论、自主学习，拆音、拼音、归纳等丰富的教学活动发展学生观察推理、自主探究、逻辑创新及批判性思维品质。

文化意识情感目标：

1.激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养学生乐学善思。

2.通过故事学习，培养学生面对困难、迎难而上的坚强品质。

教学重难点

重点：能够掌握字母组合ai/ay 在单词中的常见发音，即/ eɪ/。

难点：能够在老师的引导下总结归纳出ai/ay的发音规则，并能够认读出符合ai/ay发音规则的单词。

教学过程

I. Warming-up

1.Greeting

Hello,everyone.I’m your new teacher today. My name is Daisy.Nice to meet you.Today we’ll learn Unit5 There is a big bed Part A Let’s spell.Before our lesson, I’d like to divide you into two groups. You are group“ay” and you are group“ai”. Let’s PK. If you can listen, read and speak correctly and actively, you can get a picture. Let’s see which group is the winner. Ready?

2.Watch the video and answer the following questions.

Q1:What day is it today?

Whose (谁的)birthday is it today?

What's the weather like in the video?

3.Read the sentences.

(设计意图：通过视频导入，了解学生对已学内容中含有字母组合ay/ai发/eɪ/音的单词的掌握情况，师能做到心中有数，合理设计教学过程。）

II. Presentation

1.Learn the words with “ay”.

T:Look at the screen. Can you read them?

T:Let’s listen and repeat.

New words: say,way,Monday,birthday

T:Read and discuss with your desk mates:What rules can you find out in these words?

S1: They have the same letters.

S2: Letters “ay” pronounce /eɪ/.

S3:......

T: You are so clever. Letters “ay” pronounce /eɪ/ at the end of the words.

2.Learn the words with “ai”.

T:Boys and girls.Let's watch a video and do the actions.

Ss:Chant together and do the actions.

T:What's the weather like in the video?

Ss:Rainy.

T: At last the rain goes away, the rainbow comes out.

Have you heard the sound /ei/?

Ss: Yes.

T: Where are the letters “ai” ?

Ss:In the middle.

T: How to pronounce “ai” ？

Ss: /eɪ/.

（设计意图：通过以旧带新学习单词，让学生朗读并观察目标单词并归纳出他们的共同点，培养学生分离和归纳两种语言意识。通过组织学生归纳总结，发现发音规则，加深对该发音规则的理解，培养学生的思维能力，使学生留下深刻印象。）

3.Try to read more words.

（设计意图：通过有规律的单词拼读活动，强化字母组合“ay” “ai”的发音，培养学生的学习能力。）

4.Listen ,read,and circle.

5.Look, listen and write.

(设计意图：通过课本Listen ,read,and circle和Look, listen and write两部分强化本节课教学目标，及根据读音拼写出符合ai/ay发音规则的单词。)

III. Consolidation

1. Do the tasks.

T:Now take out your learning card and choose one or more tasks to do.

Four students as a group to share, correct and add your learning card. Then show your team work in our class. You have 5 minutes.

(设计意图：围绕“ The pronunciation of ay/ai”设计学习任务，学生通过自我探究、小组合作、全班汇报以及师的精补讲突破本节课重难点。)

IV.Production
