I prefer live sports. Watching sport on television cannot compare to the atmosphere of a full stadium. I find that when I watch it on TV, I get easily distracted and do not enjoy it as much. The convenience of watching at home being you don't have to buy a ticket or cope with the public. Access to the home conveniences of the kitchen is also a goodselling point. If I want to genuinely appreciate the game, I have to go see it live, nothing beats it.

Some people like live sports because of the crowd. Getting to witness each moment as it happens is thrilling and you become very invested in the result. The comradery of supporting a team with other fans is exciting. You get to become part of something greater than yourself. Actually, I believe this is why most people get involved in sports, to be a part of a greater collective.

Chinese people enjoy watching the NBA. In fact, it is one of the most loved basketball leagues in the world. The NBA is an export from the US and is incredibly popular everywhere around the world. Another popular sport to watch is football. Personally, I prefer to watch football as I find the rules easier to comprehend.

I think a healthy amount of competition can be good. Competition can encourage students to work harder to achieve their goals. But everything in moderation is the best mantra. A highly competitive environment can be quite negative for students, as it overlooks the true purpose of education. Some students react adversely to competition and the stress of having to work against others. It can lead them to give up in the end. Overall, it is a mixed bag that does not work for everybody.
