衣衫褴褛行似癫，

手持破扇酒肉穿；

略施小术惩奸恶，

一心只为结善缘。

The Midnight Rain

Now it is midnight.

It’s still raining outside.

 

The summer heat is gone.

It’s very comfortable to sleep.

 

Play some light music.

It’s so good to relax oneself.

 

Read a book you haven’t finished yet.

It’s never too late to learn.

 

Just lay on bed.

It’s necessary to ponder yourself.

 

The life is so short.

Let’s make every day count.

肉体凡胎灾祸多，

行善布施敬佛陀；

心诚意切金可碎，

功到圆满得超脱。

To The West

He was just a monk in Chang’an,

But he had a firm will.

He made up of his mind to start this long journey to the west.

He set out from Chang’an on foot.

He had no powerful apprentice or a white horse.

There was no magic at all.

 

He passed by villages, towns, cities and countries.

He went hungry, thirsty and tired.

He experienced hot summers and cold winters.

He met some people from time to time,

But he departed with them later.

 

No matter what happened to him,

He kept on this long journey.

Nothing could stop him.

Nobody could change his mind.

 

Until one day,

He made it to the destination.

He got what he wanted for China and the Chinese people.

 

When he came back to Chang’an,

14 years had passed by.

He was just a monk,

But he made a miracle with his feet and firm will.

Fear

It is like a guardhouse.

You will find no light in it.

 

It is like a dreadful creature.

You don’t want to see it in your life.

 

It is like a fast driving car without a steering wheel.

You can’t control it.

 

It is like the strongest rival in the world.

You may stand no chance to defeat him.

 

It is a real guardhouse?

The wall is made from paper.

You can tear the wall and find the light.

 

It is a real dreadful creature?

It is a nice man with this dreadful mask.

He is very kind.

 

It is a real fast driving car without a steering wheel?

Do you think you need a steering wheel?

You can control it with your mind.

 

It is the real strongest rival in the world?

He just wants to be your friend.

You will become stronger than him.

 

Fear is an encrypted message.

Only you have the decryption key.

It will be only you who can decrypt every word of it.

A Human Body

Human body is very fragile.

 

One day,

He is given birth in the world.

 

Every day,

He needs food to feed.

 

Every day,

He needs water to drink.

 

Every day,

He needs clothes to dress up.

 

Every day,

He needs friends to talk with.

 

Every day,

He needs a bed to sleep on.

 

Sometimes,

He may get bored.

 

Sometimes,

He may get tired.

 

Sometimes,

He may get sick.

 

Sometimes,

He may get injured.

 

Then some day,

He will get aged.

 

Until one day,

He has to leave the world.

 

From the start to the end,

just like a full circle,

We call it a life.

 

The life time is not long,

around 100 years or even shorter.

But we can create infinite possibilities within this limited time.

We have done it to make a better world.

Every day counts.

The world is so beautiful.

But we have done too much.

 

We are burning much forest to expand our crop fields every day.

We are destroying many crop fields to expand the building lands every day.

We are drilling too long and too deep to find fuels and metals every day.

We are opening too many new factories to boost the economy every year.

We are using too many fuels to generate power and heat every day.

We are abusing too many antibiotics to cure diseases every day.

We are having too many contradictions and conflicts every day.

 

Forest is decreasing every minute.

Many animals and plants are going extinct every day.

Storms and droughts are visiting every continent in turn every year.

 

Crop fields are gone piece by piece every hour.

Global population is still growing every second.

So many people are still having shortage of food and clean water.

 

Mine drilling is causing much grand destruction every minute.

Mine accidents are happening every day.

Many people get injured or lose their lives in the mines every year.

 

Industry production is causing much pollution to the environments every moment.

Many people get cancers in the polluted areas every year.

 

Fuels are burning and emitting much warehouse gas every minute.

The earth is getting hotter every year.

 

Antibiotic abuse is causing many super germs every day.

Many people die from the super germs every year.

 

Contradictions are causing regional wars every day.

Many people get wounded or even get killed every year.

We have enough atomic bombs to destroy the whole world for many times in seconds.

 

We have two hands.

We have one hand to create and protect.

We have another one to take and destroy.

 

Let’s get rid of greed and selfishness.

Let’s make a wise decision for us and for human future.
