Should students take after-school classes?

It is common for the students to take after-school classes nowadays. Some students agree to attend after-school classes while there are still some students who think taking after-school classes is unnecessary. 

Take me for example. Last year, I had a hard time in studying. My parents learned about this, so they decided to send me to after-school classes. There were many students there, and most of them took little interest in studying; they just played mobile phones all class. I did not want to waste my time there. Therefore, I made up my mind to work hard by myself and reviewed what I learned in class in time. With the help of my teachers and parents, I have made great progress. 

        From my own experiences, I am not in favor of taking after-school classes. The reasons are as follows. Firstly, it is a waste of time and it can make the students tired out. Taking after-school classes costs the students too much free time, which may leave little time for the students to relax. In their spare time, they should do some outdoor activities. What’s more, if the students take after-school classes, it is not easy for them to concentrate on their lessons at school. They may lose the ability of self-study gradually.

In a word, whether the students can get good grades mainly depends on the attitude towards study. If the students put hearts in everything, nothing is impossible.
