glass ceiling：职场玻璃天花板（妇女等在职务升迁上遇到的无形障碍）英文释义为the imaginary barrier that stops women, or other groups, from getting the best jobs in a company, etc. although there are no official rules to prevent them from getting these jobs.
同时，女性在家里办公还可能会降低她们的创造力，牺牲了与其他同事产生联系的机会。
Yet even in duller corporate settings, walking down a corridor, washing hands in the bathroom or making yet another cup of coffee in the kitchen, you are only seconds away from a chat or a joke. That can—admittedly unreliably and in ways that are difficult to measure—spur spontaneity and lead to new ideas.

Women determined not to waste a single minute when they could be multitasking will give up more than just professional advancement, important though that is. They are also giving up a sense of connection to others.

From my point of view, I think teleworking is tempting for some people as they can devote time otherwise wasted on commuting or office chitchat to more pressing matters. However, it’s also regretful for them to make this choice. People determined never to set foot in the office will give up more than just professional advancement. They also give up a sense of connection to others. In a working place, walking down a corridor or washing hands in the bathroom, people are only seconds away from a chat or a joke which may spur spontaneity and lead to new ideas. Therefore, people should think twice before opting for remote work.
